Experiment 3: Uphill or Downhill which one is faster?
Problem: Does it take longer for a mealworm to climb up hill or down a hill?
Hypothesis:
Do you think it will be faster for the mealworm to climb up the hill or down
the hill? Why?

Materials:
1. Newspaper or some other flexible household materials.
2. Scissors (optional)
3. Tape (optional)
Procedure:
1. Create a small hill out of any household materials.
2. Place the worm at the bottom of the hill.
3. Watch to see if it is faster for the worm to go up or down the hill.
4. If you have to help the worm along do so. Have fun!
5. Record your observations.
Observations:
1. What do you see when the worm is climbing up the hill?

2. What do you see when the worm is going downhill?

3. Was the worm faster going up the hill or down the hill? Were the results
the same as your hypothesis?

Conclusions:
What were the materials you used to make the hill? Draw a sketch of your hill.
