Diane M. Burnett
I am a graduate of the University of Houston Clear Lake. I presently teach
4th grade at Westlawn Elementary School in La Marque, Texas. Raised in
California and moved to Dallas, Texas in 1978, then to the Houston area
in 1982.
My primary interest is TRAVEL! I have been to 43 countries and 6 continents.
My most challenging experience was climbing to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro
in Africa.
PROFESSIONAL HISTORY
My first twenty five years in the work force was with State Farm Insurance
After completing the alternative certification program through Houston
ISD I changed my career to that of a teacher. My first four years of teaching
was as a physical education teacher. One year as a second grade teacher
and for the past two years as a 4th grade teacher. My present position
is with LaMarque ISD as a 4th grade teacher.
