ABOUT MATHEMATICS
Mathematics at Bethune Academy is taught in a standards-based classroom where students use manipulatives and technology to develop a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts. The teachers are trained in the Rice University School Math Program and use innovative activities. It is Bethune’s goal to increase students’ confidence in their own mathematical skills and to foster their ability to reason and communicate.
