Introduction . . .
I planned this unit due to the need I saw in my students to understand what makes good character and why they should have it. The lessons integrate technology with basic research skills as well as a final project presentation using PowerPoint. Students will create the "perfect hero."
They will research what makes a hero and how they behave. They will visit various web sites that have examples of the topic and will decide which are the best ones to include in their hero.
They will do a variety of tasks beforehand to make them familiar with the software they will be using as well as the various online activities they will be completing. They will work at times in small groups and individually depending on the activity.
