| I was in the GirlTECH '97 group. Foster Elementary in Humble ISD is my school. We have an awesome group of kids in our grade level. Teaching 5th graders Math, Science, and Social Studies is great, and I can't imagine a better job!
The picture above is my all-time favorite digital picture, and one of the earliest I ever took. It shows a tulip plant just emerging. This year we didn't plant a Journey North tulip garden at Foster. But we have in the past. This activity is part of a world wide science experiment, where Red Emperor tulip bulbs help track the arrival of spring! They also track animal migrations, with ground observation, telemetry and experts in many types of animals. I simply LOVE Journey North, and have never been disappointed with it. I created some webpages for a project in our district that includes links to sites identified in the curriculum documents and teacher created resources. In addition to the TEK references, these links are organized by the individual benchmarks our district has established. These pages are now found at: http://www.humble.k12.tx.us/scrams/index.html Used to be a computer lab teachers so, Some of the Lessons are Computer Lab based but work for classroom teachers too Wanted to return to the classroom....
