Born
in Houston, Texas I attended Cypress Falls High School , and I received
my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Southwestern
Assemblies of God University in the Dallas-Ft. Worth metroplex.
I have taught in public and private
schools since 2003. In 2003 I joined the faculty of The Master's
School in San Marcos, Tx. My teaching assignments have included
all subjects. I have also taught science and math in Cypress-Fairbanks
ISD in Houston, Tx. I have benefited greatly from my first years
of teaching, and I have many good memories shared with students
that I will treasure forever.
I feel my
job is to continually encourage students and to help them build
a strong foundation that will allow them to reach their goals. I
strive to add value to the educational experience for my students
through: building strong relationships with students, respecting
my students and requiring they respect others, problem solving skills,
taking ownership of learning, building healthy confidence and self-esteem,
acquiring social skills, and by supporting individual learning styles
and interest's of my students.
I believe
teaching children is a great honor, because one is allowed to mold
the precious lives entrusted to them in a Godly way, so the child
is able to become all that God wants them to be. The Bible says
that teachers and preachers will be judged more severely than others,
so I take teaching very seriously. I believe with God’s help
and wisdom a teacher is able to make a positive and lasting impact
on the world through the lives he or she touches for the glory of
God.
