I work at Westside High School
in Houston I.S.D. This year the staff at Westside will be updating the Technology
curriculum not only for the Magnet for Integrated Technology Program but also
for the nonmagnet curriculum. We will be expanding our programs to include more
real world, outside the classroom experiences. This will be the first group
of students to have completed our four year program. BACKGROUND
I am a native Texan . I have worked in the
Houston area for the last 36 years (almost long enough to feel like I am a native
Houstonian). I've taught everything from Kindergarten to seniors in high school,
in every subject from Reading to Math. This summer I taught a Geometry summer
school class which was an eye opening experience! It was a lot of fun to renew
my math skills and get in touch with what every teacher goes through in trying
to motivate students and get them to succeed.
