For the Graphic Design module, Christlyn and I were required to work with Corel Draw. This interesting software made it possible for us to experiment with circles, lines, and points to create an original design using the many tools from the program. Making a trip to Mars seem attractive was our first task. We worked with the Benizer tool, decorative fonts, and mirroring effects.
Creating an appealing design revolves around 5 basic principles:
Our project began with a simple circle and a graphic of a rocket.
We then had to add other simple objects like a triangle and use tools like the benizer tool and duplicate button to transform the images into interesting graphics, then color them.
Our final product came out really well. The point is to sell a trip to Mars. The rocket is landing on the small, red planet with the dark, starry night in the background. Along with the skewed words "MARS MANIA" and the graphic that we created from a simple triangle to be in the shape of an "M," for "Mars."
