By the end of the week you should have completed:

1.      Programming Module:

a.       baby.scm graphic enhanced and personalized

b.      Baby plotted on graph paper

c.       Each line of code documented

d.      NOTE:  I will collect this work when I return Monday so you may work on this all week

e.       Extra Credit programmed graphics – Activity 4 and 5

2.      Chapter 30 and 31:

a.       Outline with objectives and headlines like we have done for previous chapters.

b.      Terms defined.

c.       Test You Knowledge with questions and answers

d.      QuizLab – Both chapters are together.

e.       Printed their outlines, defined terms and TYK submitted in your period folder.

3.      Spreadsheet for 6w6 – 3W1

a.       Week 13, 14 and 15 Work Reports

b.      Grades you have received back and are listed on the bottom of the online lessons.

c.       You may submit this when I return as you need to finish this week.  Keeping up weekly is easier than going backwards. 

4.      Letter to Mrs. Shaw and Your dean listing the magnet course you want to take next year and WHY. Your choices are:

a.       Electronic Media (Must have Art I to take this class) - Fine Arts Strand

b.       Theater Tech 2 - Fine Arts Strand

c.       Pre-AP Computer Science - I.T. Strand

d.       Intro. To Computer Maintenance (A+ Certification) – I.T. Strand

e.       Introduction to Health Science Tech – I.T Strand

f.        Westside Business Ownership  - Business Strand

g.       BCIS – Business and Media Strand

h.       Journalism, Newspaper or Yearbook  - Media Strand

TLW:

Finish Activity 3 – plot your baby on graph paper AND document each line of code. 

 

Objective: Programming

Activities: 

1.       Speaker – Mrs. Stockman on the WHS Business Academy.  Monday course selection sheets go out; this will help you in that selection.  NOTE: If the course is not listed, check with me when I get back or your dean. 

2.       PAST DUE: Turn in 6w5 spreadsheet with new objects added:

a.       Chart showing line graph with percent grades

b.       Summary / Feedback for 6 weeks five in a text box or border.

3.       PAST DUE:  Thank you note to Mrs. Celeita from Art Institute listing 3 things you learned.

4.       Finish your baby!  You may continue to improve all week.

a.       Plot each line on graph paper

b.       Document each line of code

c.       Add your enhancements and personality – see babybecky

d.       I will grade these when I get back.  Please save in your server in a folder called SCHEME.

5.       Extra Credit – Do Activity 4 and 5.  Create your own original design

6.       We will add these to a Web page next week, but you can start typing your content in Word.

Understand the impact of technology in society.

Objective: Career Planning

Activities:

1.      Understand the connection of the importance of math to society – speaker Mr. Boetcher.

2.      Understand the impact of the Middle East (Amman, Jordan and Jubilee School) and global world.

3.      Understand importance of building leadership skills like the BRiLL Leadership Club here at Westside sponsored by the Brilliant Lecture Series.

4.      Read Chapter 30:

a)      Outline with objectives and headlines

b)      Terms defined

c)      Test You Knowledge with questions and answers

d)      QuizLab

e)      NOTE:  Students need to print their outlines, defined terms and TYK. We have done this in the past so they should know what to do.

3.       Finish Chapter 30 as needed.

4.       Add to your new 6 weeks 6 spreadsheet with your weekly work reports for week 13, 14 and 15.  Add grades that you have received back.

Write a letter communicating career and magnet strand interests.

Objective:

Activities:

1.       Quizlab Chapter 30 and 31 – see the Quizlab calendar

2.       Write a Letter to your dean and Mrs. Shaw to communicate your magnet choice strand and course for next year.  You must explain WHY you are making this choice.  You have these choices:
