TLW:

Evaluate a Web page on a Math Lesson by Mrs. Boone’s Web Mastering class.

 

Objective:

Warmup:  Look at magnet strands on my web page. 

§         Where does Web Mastering Fit into the 4 different strands?

§         Prepare to learn about the Web Mastering course – is this the strand you might want to study next year?

 

Activities: 

1.       On Notebook paper design an evaluation plan - fold paper in thirds, add your name.

2.       Go to E225 – add your mentor’s name (Mrs. Boone’s student), computer number and title of Web site.

3.       Take notes on the Web site on the inside.

4.       After return to N125, add comments on the process, the course, and the Web site you evaluated.

TLW:

Analyze grade, stock and typing Data

 

Objective: Data Analysis

Warmup: Find typing speed in Micro Type and analyze that data.  Should you spend time practicing typing instead of wasting it talking before / end of class?

 

Activities:

1.       Check Work past due and finish as needed:

ü       Thank You Note Mr McCowan or PB

ü       Spreadsheet with 6w4 grade data, work reports, summary and chart

ü       Progress Report returned signed

2.       Analyze grade line graph – If you have a sharp increase and decrease, you used your raw score instead of the percentage grade.  THINK – does the data make sense?

3.       Analyze Portfolio in the Stock Market game – have you purchased 5 stocks? 

4.       Analyze Web page for Savage History Museum

GOAL:  To Fluently and effectively use 100% of class TIME learning to produce a product demonstrating your excellence in Multimedia design.

 

Warmup:

Email answer to whs_media@yahoo.com - subject line P_, Last, Name, PROBLEMS

Did you understand what you were supposed to do with Doc Savage’s History Museum Web pages, Evaluation of Mrs. Boone’s math problems, and designing your Grade and Work Data report in Excel?  Answer each separately with details.

 

Activities:

1.       Preview Section 4

2.       Review Chapter 9

3.       Connect to Web site design projects:

b.       History Museum Mrs. Savage

c.       Grade Data Analysis Excel Spreadsheets

100 points:  Stock Market Game – 5 stocks purchased by March 2nd; grade based on equity March 9th.

100 points:  Enhanced Grade Data Analysis Spreadsheet aesthetically designed with 5 boxes containing:

  1. Title box
  2. Grade data box with average bolded.
  3. 6 weekly work reports with output for week and feedback
  4. Grade data analysis summary for the 6 weeks.
  5. Chart with line graph using task and percent data sets
