The "Astro Cow," designed by one of my art students from Eastwood Academy Charter High School, was selected to participate in the 2001 Houston Cows on Parade Art Project. His design was one of a small number of high school entries selected to participate.

His design was based on studies of the Milky Way via web and library searches, color theory, and a lot of creativity.

The Cow was exhibited in Hermann Park, and auctioned in November of 2001 to raise funds for Texas Children's Hospital.

You can find our cow, and more about the project at http://houston.cowparade.net/cow/detail/777.
