My perspective unit begins with a study of the history of perspective and its invention during the Renaissance time. Additionally, students go through an overview of architecture history from the Renaissance to modern times.
Following the above lessons, students go through three perspective drawing exercise packets, Introduction to Perspective, Beginning Perspective, and Advanced Perspective. After the completion of each packet, students work on a perpective project where they design an architectural enviornment. With each packet completion, students improve further on their project as well as their skills.
Students maintain a sketchbook which is used to monitor their improvement.
