Students have the opportunity to research classical and contemporary artists to gain further understanding about the world of art. As part of the objective, students must be able to discuss the artist's philosophy of art, background, and world history during the artist's lifetime.
The research project includes a web search, research paper, presentation, and student artwork. Research projects are included in most units of instruction to enhance student learning.
This particular research project was included in a Folk Art/Found Object Art unit of instruction.
This student chose to research Ariel Dolan, an independent software developer who creates found object art using dolls.
