Quadratic equations have many applications

some examples are:

• Bridges: Bridge constructors use quadratic equations to find the maximum height of their bridges they are building with a certain width.
• Concert promoters use quadratic equations to predict the maximum revenue they can make.

Ex. If a soccer promoter uses the formula R=6500p-100p² to calculate its revenue. The promoter knows exactly how much he or she can sell one ticket for to maximize the revenue.
