I've always been told that when you read a book, you can go anywhere in the world you want to go. This is also true of the World Wide Web. That is what I find so fascinating about the Information Superhighway. My name is Miriam Shaw and I am a Campus Technology Coordinator, at Bee Caves Elementary, in the Lake Travis Independent School District which is in Lakeway,Texas. This is my twentieth year of teaching; fifteen have been in physical education/coaching and four have been in Computer Literacy/Technology Specialist/Instructional Technologist. Believe it or not, computers help me a great deal when I was teaching P.E. Whenever I can find some spare time or during the fall/winter, I love spending time with my family, rollerblading, swimmming, and reading mystery and computer books.
I have been married for almost 20 years. In fact, it was my husband that turned me on to computers. He may soon regret the day :-). We have a son and a daughter. My son is in the Gifted and Talented program at Leander High School and is currently playing Tennis for Leander High School. He also played on the Leander High School Basketball team. In his spare time, he also loves computers. I guess it's in the blood. My daughter goes to Leander High School. She plays Volleyball for Leander High School. In her spare time, she loves to shop and talk on the phone. Computers are not in her blood, although, she is very good with Print Shop :-)!
