Patricia Bell, Surfer Extraordinaire

I am a native of Tulsa, Oklahoma. As a small child, I developed a love for the printed word and an equal passion for understanding the means to produce it. In college, I majored in English and decided to become a teacher, so that others would know and share this appreciation.

In the past few years, I have also developed a passion for the computer. Initially, I embraced this intriguing techonology because it was new. It was fun. It kept my students focused on lab days. Then I began to see computer technology as a way not only to make my professional chores easier, but also as a great teaching tool IF used properly.

Now, the Information Superhighway is beckoning us to get on ramp. Hopefully, my participation in this project will enable me to help students learn through technology to see the world in a different light.
