BIOGRAPHY

I am the technology specialist and computer literacy teacher at Eckert Intermediate School in the Aldine Independent School District. I am a native TEXAN, born and raised in Houston. My job entails teaching four classes a day and maintaining (repair, loading software, etc) over 300 computers for the campus. In addition to computer maintanence, I am also responsible for keeping content area teachers abreast of new technologies that they can employ in their classrooms. I am a product of the Houston Independent School District, having attended Love Elementary, Hamilton Jr. High, and Reagan HS. I am especially proud of the fact that I have been able to teach alongside some of the teachers that have taught me.

I have been married for almost 23 years to my very supportive husband, Harry Nelson, Jr. I have two wonderful (adult) children; Eleisha and Harry, III.

Eleisha is a 1999 graduate of Rice University

Harry, III is a sophomore at Sam Houston State University

Eleisha received Phoenix, a parti-colored cocker spaniel as a graduation gift in May. He is 14 weeks old and is in desperate need of obedience training.
