What is a fraction?
A fractions is parts of a whole.

Parts of Fractions
Numerator is the top number. The numerator tells how many parts you are
talking about.
Denominator is the bottom number. The denominator tells how many equal
parts are in the whole.


Proper Fractions - The Numerator is less than or smaller than the

Improper Fraction - The Numerator is equal to or greater than the
denominator. A improper fraction is equal to or greater than one.

Mixed Number - A number made up of a whole number and a fraction.

These fraction activities can be used to be used to introduce and reinforce the understanding of fractions.
